Reichstag may be used in MI3 film

Tom Cruise will be allowed to use Germany's parliament building in 'Mission Impossible 3' after all.

Tom Cruise will be allowed to use Germany's parliament building in 'Mission Impossible 3' after all.

Officials had originally turned down his wishes to shoot scenes in the glass dome of the historic Reichtag building.

Parliamentary spokesman Hans Hotter has said a compromise is in sight.

Negotiations with studio officials had been held this week, he confirmed.

They suggested some scenes might be filmed amongst the houses in which the MPs have their offices.

This means Tom will be allowed to at least film a couple of scenes near the Reichtag building, using it as a backdrop.

Filming is scheduled to take place during parliamentary holidays so nobody will be distracted.
