A contemporary art collection from the Irish Museum of Modern Art has gone on display in Beijing today.

It is the first event in the Irish Festival of Arts and Culture taking place in China over the next few weeks.

The official opening of the festival takes place on May 9, when Riverdance and Altan will perform.

They will replace the Chieftains, who have been forced to pull out of the event due, to the unexpected illness of Paddy Moloney.
