EasyJet magnate to open cinema in Down

If you want proof that the cinema in Ireland is on the up and up just take a look at the famous Co Down seaside resort of Newcastle, at the foot of the Mountains of Mourne.

For 30 years the town has been without a cinema but a campaign has been launched to put that right … and the famous Stelios Haji-Ioannou, the founder of EasyJet, has been approached to bring in one of his easyCinemas.
