Derry festival seeks new artists
Preparations are underway for this year's Glasgowbury event in Draperstown, Co Derry.
26 acts from throughout Ireland are due to perform on two stages.
Since its creation three years ago, Glasgowbury has grown from a small fundraising gig for local charities to an independently-managed outdoor music festival which aims to establish a centre for music and the arts within the rural community of South Derry.
This year, the Festival Committee is inviting bands and artists who are interested in participating to submit recorded material for consideration.
Recordings can be of any musical genre and the only condition for submission is that the music is original.
There are numerous performance slots available throughout the day of the Glasgowbury Festival (Saturday August 28, 2004) on both the Main Stage and the Acoustic Stage.
If you are a solo artist or in a band and you write and perform your own music, the Glasgowbury Festival wants you!
Recordings must be on CD format and, where possible, artists should include a press pack with relevant background information and photographs.
The address to send recordings to (no later than April 30) is: The Glasgowbury Festival, 37 Drumard Road, Draperstown, Co Derry, BT45 7JU.
