Budding young Jamie Olivers took up whisks and frying pans in a battle for the title of Britain’s best teenage chef.

Under the gaze of top restaurateurs, 11 finalists aged between 12 and 16 turned out dishes including sea bass with cous cous dumplings and Frangepan pear tart at the grand final of FutureChef 2004 at Westminster Kingsway College in London.
