Irish music legends, The Dubliners will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s Meteor Ireland Music Awards, on Monday, March 1 at the Point Theatre, Dublin.
In addition, The Dubliners will perform a medley of their favourite songs at the awards.
The Dubliners started off in O'Donoghue's pub, Dublin in 1962 and remain one of the most loved and influential of Ireland's traditional folk bands in the world.
The Meteor awards ceremony, which is now in its fourth year, will be hosted by comedian Dara O’Briain.
A host of international and Irish acts will be performing at this Meteor Awards including Lionel Richie, Counting Crows, The Corrs, Sugababes, Westlife, The Frames, Paddy Casey and Jerry Fish & The Mudbug Club.
