In what has been an interesting year for homemade films, Mystics stands, alas, at the foot of the table, deep in the relegation zone.

It is a weak tale full of stereotypical Oirish characters up to the usual Oirish twinkly scams, all highly unlikely and utterly disappointing.

O'Shea and Kelly play a couple of former music hall performers whose scam involves their posing as mediums in order to extract money from those left behind by staging fake seances.

Ho-hum!

Enter, then, a collection of stock characters caught up in the project, none of whom turn out to be even mildly interesting since the script is so ill-constructed that it hardly exists in any visible form.
