Ozzy tells family he loves them
Befuddled rocker Ozzy Osbourne came to yesterday for the first time since undergoing emergency surgery and told his worried family, "I love you".
The reality TV star and former Black Sabbath frontman - who was badly injured in a quad bike crash on Monday - managed to raise a thumb of reassurance to his concerned wife Sharon Osbourne and daughter Kelly.
Ozzy had been sedated for two days following his surgery on Monday, but his family stuck by his side at Wexham Park Hospital in Slough, south England - and they were thrilled when Ozzy awoke.
And although he made it his priority to assure chat-show host Sharon and singer Kelly he was in good spirits, the charismatic rocker also found time to complain about the nurses - much to his family's delight.
Kelly says, "He woke up today but he can't speak because of the tube. He's able to mouth words and he told us he loved us. He's been complaining about the nurses so we know he's all right. He gave me the thumbs-up and stuck his tongue out at me."
Kelly adds she's not "100% sure" how the accident at his home in Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire, south England happened, but believes the recreational bike hit a hole in the ground, causing Ozzy to fly off the vehicle before it landed on him.
