Four film production companies in the Republic have recently benefitted from funding from the Northern Ireland Film and Television Commission's Lottery Fund.

Treasure Entertainment Ltd (based in Dublin) got £100,000 (€143,461) for their feature film, Valhalla; Dublin's Parallel Film Productions got £20,000 (€27,000) development money for The Joey Dunlop Story; Rapid Film of Dublin got £20,000 (€20,000) towards a documentary on the life of Co Down WW2 hero, Blair Mayne and £21,000 (€30,000) went to Sligo's Smirsh Ltd for the short film, The Empire of Juramidam.
