Beyonce appears at premiere of new film

Pop diva Beyonce Knowles appeared at the premiere of her new film in London tonight.

The star wore a Versace corset and slinky skirt for the screening of The Fighting Temptations in London’s Leicester Square.

The 22-year-old took time out from her tour to attend the premiere, accompanied as ever by her 25stone minder Shorty.

In the film she plays a dowdy single mum who joins the gospel choir run by Cuba Gooding Jr.

The role is a million miles away from her usual image and she said: “It was something different for me to look as unglamorous as possible.”

With her band Destiny’s Child, Beyonce had a huge hit with the song Bootylicious and the word has been used to describe her ever since.

“I hate that word at times,” she joked. “But it’s fine. It was a song that I never took seriously anyway and I’m just happy that at 21-years-old I invented a word that’s in the dictionary.”

The singer is soon to launch a clothing range for women with Beyonce-sized bottoms.

She said: “I have curves and my clothes will definitely fit women with curves.”
