Jude Law divorced from Sadie
Sadie Frost was granted a “quickie” divorce from actor Jude Law today.
Frost, 35, and 30-year-old Law, one of Britain’s most successful Hollywood stars, married in September 1997 but separated at the beginning of this year.
At a brief hearing at London’s divorce courts today, Frost was granted a decree nisi under the “quickie” uncontested divorce procedure.
Frost and Law, who have three children, were not present at the High Court Family Division in central London.
Their divorce was 14th in a list of 30 couples listed for “pronouncement of decree under the special procedure” before District Judge Redgrave.
Frost said in a statement in August: “I have come very reluctantly to the decision that my marriage to Jude is over.
“We have agreed that a divorce is the only way forward, but we have equally agreed that we will do everything in our power to make certain that this is as painless a process as possible for the benefit of the children.
“They are our number one priority and have always been so and will remain so.”
Frost also has a son from her first marriage to former Spandau Ballet star Gary Kemp.
Law, who was nominated for an Oscar for the Talented Mr Ripley, has carved a successful Hollywood career, appearing in films such as Steven Spielberg’s AI, Sam Mendes’s Road to Perdition and Stalingrad drama Enemy at the Gates.
