Crystal to host Oscars

Billy Crystal has been named as the host of next year's Oscars ceremony.

The 76th Annual Academy Awards will mark the comedian's eighth time as Oscars host - his last appearance being in 2000.

It will be broadcast live from the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles on February 29.

Last year's event saw Chicago scoop six awards, including best picture, with Catherine Zeta Jones named best supporting actress.
