Rats returns with Samantha Mumba

It has already received a public airing at this summer’s Galway Film Fleadh but brace yourself for the full Irish release of Gerry Ryan and Louis Walsh’s film debut Spin The Bottle.

Ok, OK - they’re just playing themselves, but sharing screen space in this comedy about a wannabe pop star will be two Irish actresses partial to a spot of tonsil warbling - Bronagh Gallagher and Samantha Mumba.

A spin-off of the popular RTE "mockumentary" series Paths To Freedom, the film is a further chapter in the life of Rats, a hapless Dublin chancer who wants to send his obese aunt to Lourdes for a miracle cure.
