Beyonce lands four Mobo nominations
Booty-shaking chart star Beyonce Knowles is one of three acts to land four nominations for the Mobo Awards, as the shortlist was unveiled today.
The Crazy In Love singer ties with artists Big Brovaz and Mercury Music Prize nominated soul singer Terri Walker with most nods.
Also up for prizes at the awards – which take place later this month – are Justin Timberlake, Mis-Teeq and Lisa Maffia.
Beyonce is up for best R&B act, album for Dangerously In Love and video and single for chart-topping track Crazy In Love.
Big Brovaz compete with her in the Best Video and album categories with Nu Flow as well as being up for UK act of the and best newcomer.
Walker is shortlisted for best R&B act, UK act of the year, best newcomer and best album for Untitled.
Timberlake is in the running for two prizes – best R&B act and best album for his solo debut Justified.
The other two artists acts up for best album are south London duo Floetry with Floetic and 50 Cent with Get Rich Or Die Tryin’.
The event – now in its sixth year – takes place at the Royal Albert Hall on September 25.
