Film fans have voted Julia Roberts’ Oscar-winning role as feisty single parent Erin Brockovich as the best ever movie portrayal of a mother, a new survey revealed today.

Hot on Erin’s spiky six-inch heels was the character of Molly Weasley – the cuddly mother of Harry Potter’s friend Ron, played by much-loved British actress Julie Walters.
