Beckham could star in Super Becks cartoon

David Beckham is set to star in a worldwide Disney cartoon in which he displays fantastic powers on the pitch and unreal ones off it.

Twenty-six episodes of Allstar Striker could be shown in 150 countries and should earn Real Madrid £18m (€25m).

It would also open up the lucrative US market, says The Sun.

Real Madrid are said to have been in secret talks with Disney about the cartoon, which would feature team-mates Zinedine Zidane, Roberto Carlos, Luis Figo and Raul.

A club source said: "Superhero Becks has huge potential. We want it to be bigger than The Simpsons."
