Cows back Cameron for Big Brother glory

Dairy cows have backed Cameron to win Big Brother, a farmer said today.

The 250 animals had spent the last six weeks watching the Channel 4 show on a television in a Gloucestershire farm's milking parlour.

Farmer John Round said it seemed the cows had formed the same opinion as the bookies, voting Cameron the winner when they were polled yesterday.

Mr Round hung pictures of the four contestants in with a chance of scooping the £70,000 (€98,500) prize tonight above compartments in the parlour.

The cows at Elmore Back Farm, Elmore, near Gloucester, voted for who they most wanted out of the house by walking through the compartment for their least favourite housemate.

But apathy appeared to have hit the herd, with only fifty bothering to vote.

Least unpopular housemate Cameron was followed by Ray, Scott and finally Steph, who landed the most eviction votes.

Mr Round said he thought the herd had responded to housemates' voices.

"It is amazing really, they perked their ears up when certain people spoke.

"They seem to like the Celtic accents of Ray and Cameron, probably because they have got quieter voices.

"I reckon they are predicting how the nation is going to vote - they're pretty wise these cows."
