White Stripes cancel Witnness performance

The White Stripes have pulled out of the Witnness festival after frontman Jack White broke his finger in a car crash in the US.

Promoters MCD announced the news this morning and said the Flaming Lips will now play prior to David Gray on the Main Stage on Sunday.

David Kitt has also been booked to headline the Rising Stage on Sunday.

Around 100 acts are due to perform at the two-day Witnness festival, which takes place in Punchestown racecourse this weekend.
