At the Cole face

Representatives of the composer Cole Porter's estate have paid several visits to the British set of Just One Of Those Things, the film about the singer’s life, and are reportedly delighted with the way Porter’s songs are being presented by a cast of stars.

“They are very happy with what we are doing,” said Stephen Endelman, the film’s music supervisor and arranger. “Even though some of the arrangements are very different from the originals.”

Kevein Kline, who was a music student before he turned to acting, stars as Porter and sings 14 of the film’s 40 songs.

He also duets with Ashley Judd who plays his wife, Linda Lee Porter. Other singers in the film include Robbie Williams, Natalie Cole, Sheryl Crow and Alanis Morissette.

Just One Of Those Things is currently filming at the 40-acre Luton Hoo estate in Bedfordshire, which is standing in for the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York and the Ritz in Paris.
