Lisdoonvarna Festival moved to Dublin

The Lisdoonvarna Festival has been moved to Dublin from Co Clare.

The event, which is back this year after a 20-year absence, was to have taken place in Lisdoonvarna itself.

Following objections from locals, Clare Co Council turned down the application.

The festival will now be held on August 30 at the RDS in Dublin.
