We are at our best ever, says Blur drummer

The British rock band Blur, currently in California promoting Think Tank, their first album as a three-piece group, is a new and improved band, according to drummer Dave Rowntree.

“We’re really a lot better at what we do,” he told journalists at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival where Blur appeared with the Beastie Boys and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

“We’ve become more confident and that really helps when making music because you leave yourself open to making mistakes, and that’s where the creativity is.”
