Davina: pregnancy makes me feel really frisky
TV presenter Davina McCall has told how pregnancy makes her feel “really frisky“.
McCall, who fronted Big Brother and Popstars – The Rivals, announced that she was expecting a second child to millions of viewers of Reborn in the USA, which concluded last night.
And if her first pregnancy is anything to go by, husband Matthew Robertson is bound to be delighted too.
McCall told the News of the World’s Sunday magazine: “You go from feeling really dreadful to feeling really frisky. It’s fantastic.”
McCall chose to give birth to daughter Holly at home and she could decide to do the same with her second child.
“Weirdly, I decided I wanted to give birth in the small room where our dogs normally sleep. It’s a really cosy, private room with no windows so we moved the dogs’ beds into the kitchen and I gave birth in their room.
“It took three hours and was utterly exhausting. But I wanted to feel every last gasp of childbirth and I knew that my body would know what to do,” she said.
But she can expect a little more comfort second time round. Since Holly was born, the family has moved from a flat in west London to a six-bedroom home in the Surrey countryside.
