Star to become father again at 70

French film star Jean-Paul Belmondo is to become a father for the fourth time at the age of 70.

“We are very happy,” his wife Natty said in Paris today. “It’s a real gift of life.”

The child is expected in August. The couple married a year ago after living together for nearly 13 years.

Belmondo is the father of three children. The eldest daughter Patricia died in a fire in 1994.

The actor suffered a stroke when on holiday in Corsica two years ago.
