Rolling Stones rock India
More than 30,000 screaming fans rocked and swayed as the Rolling Stones held their first ever concert in India today.
Crowds of fans thronged the Palace Grounds in the southern city of Bangalore hours before the show, part of the bandās 40 Licks tour, began.
āAs the Stones opened up with Brown Sugar, the crowd went into a screaming frenzy,ā said band spokeswoman Sheena Sharma.
Midway through the show, it began raining but the downpour did not deter the crowds who stayed till the end of the two-hour show, Sharma said.
The Rolling Stones with their 150 strong entourage, arrived in Bangalore on Tuesday after cancelling what would have been their first-ever concerts in China because of a mystery disease affecting some Asian nations.
