Mr Big can't escape Sex in the City

Sexy Chris Noth says he can’t get anywhere on the streets of Manhattan without someone calling “Mr Big” out to him.

Noth played the Mr Big character – Carrie Bradshaw’s (played by Sarah Jessica Parker) love interest – on HBO’s hit show Sex And The City.

But he wishes people would realise it’s not the only acting role he’s ever done.

“Mr Big has been sticking to me, and that makes me uncomfortable,” Noth told Newsday magazine.

“I know it’s meant well when people stop me in the street and say, ’Hey, Mr Big!’ But I don’t ever want to be identified by any part I’ve played once it’s over.”

Noth currently stars in a new play in New York called What Didn’t Happen and was on the NBC television show Law and Order for five years before appearing on Sex And The City.

The 48-year-old also appeared in the Tom Hanks's film Cast Away.
