Tourists set to flock to Bond locations
A “Bond boom” is expected to hit tourist spots used as locations in the latest 007 movie Die Another Day.
Featuring in James Bond films normally means a location attracting up to 50% more visitors over a four-year period after a movie is released, according to on-line travel company ebookers, com.
Now Holywell Bay in Cornwall, which was used as a Korean border zone in Die Another Day, and Cornwall’s Eden Project, where filming also took place, can look forward to a tourist boost.
Another location which can expect an increase in visitors is Peani in Hawaii which was used for the spectacular surf scenes in the new 007 film.
Morra Aarons, marketing manager of ebookers.com, said: “Hawaii is the main destination in Die Another Day and we are preparing to be inundated with inquiries and calls about packages or flights to this area.
“Everyone’s got a little bit of James Bond in them and whether they fancy living the high life, soaking up the scenery or joining in the action there’s no better place to do it than where the film was shot.”
Other famous Bond film locations include:
:: OCHO RIOS, JAMAICA – the spot where a bikini-clad Ursula Andress emerged from the water in the very first 007 movie;
