Cold Feet star Ripley gives birth

Cold Feet star Fay Ripley has given birth to a baby girl, it was announced today.

Ripley and husband Daniel Lapaine said they were delighted with the birth on Thursday of their daughter, named Parker.

“We are absolutely thrilled and both mother and baby are doing well,” Australian actor Lapaine said.

Ripley, who plays Karen in the ITV comedy drama, recently said she had to hide her pregnancy with a brown cardigan while filming Dead Gorgeous.

Prior to the birth, in London, the Wimbledon-born actress said she was likely to return to Cold Feet for the last episode.

The final series of the popular show is currently being filmed in Manchester.
