Robinson's daughter shows same steel
Weakest Link presenter Anne Robinson faces a challenge to her title as television’s Queen of Mean – from her own daughter.
Emma Wilson shares the acid tongue and steely glare of her mother as she tells losing contestants on US children’s game show Scaredy Camp: “You are dismissed.”
The flame-haired former radio producer encourages teams of nervous 12-year-olds on through dark woods and creepy camp grounds, by barking: “There are no wimps. Wimps do not make winners.”
She said: “Just being the Queen of Mean’s offspring is a little scary to kids.”
Scaredy Camp, which is aired on the Nickelodeon channel, tests contestants’ bravery by making them act out ghost stories in dark forests.
The show, which was launched this week, is Ms Wilson’s first presenting job.
The 32-year-old is Anne’s daughter from her first marriage to newspaper editor Charlie Wilson.
She once said the main reason for leaving Britain to settle in New York was “because I love not being Anne Robinson’s daughter.”
