Anna Nicole Smith Show gets second series

US producers have commissioned a second series of Anna Nicole Smith's controversial reality TV show.

The show, which premiered in America last August, has been a hit on US cable channel E!

It's described as "a candid and compelling look" at Smith and her inner circle.

Stars of the show include her confidante Howard K Stern, her purple-haired assistant Kim, her 16-year-old son Daniel, interior designer Bobby Trendy and her sexually frustrated poodle Sugar Pie.

But critics have panned the show for pushing the boundaries of bad taste.

In one episode, Smith is seen vomiting in a restaurant bathroom in an attempt to win an eating contest with her lawyer and son. Another featured her dog, Sugar Pie, getting amorous with a stuffed toy.

The first series of the Anna Nicole Smith Show begins in the UK on Sky One from October 31.
