Jarvis Cocker leaves London for 'safer' France
Jarvis Cocker is moving to France for a "safer" life.
The Pulp frontman has been house-hunting around Paris with his pregnant wife Camille Bidault-Waddington.
He says one of the reasons for the move is that France never gets involved in war.
But he adds that he will miss British pubs and pub quizzes, reports the Mirror.
"Why do you think I'm moving like a rat deserting a sinking ship? France never gets involved in war. As soon as the bullet's fired, we surrender.
"It's going to be a big change moving to France but I've been in London for 14 years now.
"I'm going to miss the pub and pub quizzes though. You don't get that in France. They're not big on tombola either."
