Priscilla Presley to remake Sellers movie

Actress-producer Priscilla Presley is teaming up with Darren Star to remake MGM’s Peter Sellers comedy The Party.

Star, who has helmed episodes of Sex And The City, and Presley will co-produce, with Star likely to make the project his feature directing debut, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The original 1968 release was directed by Blake Edwards and starred Sellers as an Indian film extra who is invited to a swinging Hollywood party. There, he embarks on a series of slapstick misadventures.

Presley, 57, who serves on the board of MGM, starred in the Naked Gun movies and has also appeared in television shows Dallas and Melrose Place.
