Six Million Dollar man to hit big screen
A film based on the Seventies television show The Six Million Dollar Man is being made.
Variety reports that Dimension Films has hired writer Trevor Sands to pen Six Billion Dollar Man - an updated version of the Universal TV series.
Dimension co-chairman Bob Weinstein says: "This film has the potential to be a major franchise for us, and we wanted to find the best writer for the project.
"Trevor’s ideas are creative and original, and we’re excited to develop the script with him."
The film will be based on Martin Caidin’s 'Cyborg' novels, which were the basis for the classic television show which starred Lee Majors as Colonel Steve Austin.
Meanwhile, Sands is currently developing a project with Hollywood star Kevin Spacey which he plans to direct.
