Celebrities to face UK millionaire charity quiz

TV sports hosts Ally McCoist and Gabby Logan are among stars who have agreed to a grilling in a celebrity Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? in England, it was announced today.

Esther Rantzen and her son Joshua will also take the hot seat in the charity show, to be screened on September 28.

Question-master Chris Tarrant will quiz a pair of contestants at a time for the Saturday night show.

The final pairing will be actor Neil Pearson and his pal Charlie Higson from comedy The Fast Show.

Tarrant said: “Knowing how much difference each pound makes to a charity makes the game even tougher for celebrities to play.

“The drops seem even bigger but the temptation to raise as much money as possible even greater.”
