Nic Cage and Lisa Marie 'wed in secret'

Nicolas Cage and Lisa Marie Presley are reported to have tied the knot in a secret ceremony.

The couple's on-off romance recently blossomed again, and Hollywood is rife with rumours of a wedding.

Meanwhile, Cage's directorial debut Sonny will have its world premiere at the Deauville Festival of American Film.

The festival takes place at Levallois-Perret Cedet in France between August 30 and September 8.

Sonny stars James Franco, Brenda Blethyn and Mena Suvari.

It will compete for the festival's Grand Prize and Jury Prize alongside US films including Blue Car, Emmett's Mark, The Good Girl, Kissing Jessica Stein and Long Way Home.

The festival's Literary Prize will go to Danielle Steel for The Kiss.

Steel's books have sold 500 million copies worldwide, reports Variety.com.

The festival will pay tribute to movie luminaries such as Harrison Ford, Matt Dillon, Ellen Burstyn, Robert Evans and the late John Frankenheimer.

Matt Damon, Sylvester Stallone, Gwyneth Paltrow, Steven Soderbergh, Tom Hanks, Sam Mendes, Roman Coppola and Edward Burns are all expected to attend.
