Dad Voight to help Angelina through divorce

Jon Voight has pleaded with his daughter Angelina Jolie to get back in touch with him.

He said he was upset by her split from Billy Bob Thornton, reports The Sun.

She filed for divorce last month.

Voight and Jolie, who have had a stormy father-daughter relationship, both appeared in the first Tomb Raider movie.

A tearful Voight said on American TV: "It's been my agenda to try to reach her. It pains me deeply to see her so sad."
