Priscilla Presley plans anniversary musical for Elvis
Priscilla Presley is planning to turn her romance with Elvis into a stage musical.
The show is to mark the upcoming 25th anniversary of Presley's death on August 16, 1977.
She has teamed up with production company Immortal Entertainment to put their turbulent relationship to music.
It is not yet known whether they will be able to include any of Presley's original music.
Immortal president David Codikow told BBC News: "This is going to be Priscilla's vision. It's her story. It's the king and the queen. It's the birth of rock and roll."
The US company plans to begin a nationwide hunt for actors to take the lead parts of Elvis and Priscilla.
Codikow said it could take up to 14 months for the show to reach the stage.
Elvis married Priscilla in Las Vegas in 1967 as she reached the age of 21.
The Presleys' relationship was a rocky one, and following allegations of infidelity and drug abuse they divorced in 1973.
