Austin Powers star gets a Hollywood star

Austin Powers star Mike Myers now has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Myers was accompanied by his wife, his mother and two brothers at the unveiling ceremony.

Celebrity guests included Austin Powers cast members Robert Wagner, Mindy Sterling and Seth Green.

Canadian-born actor Myers displayed his trademark self-deprecating humour as he accepted the award in front of an adult gift shop.

He said: "It's a long way from playing street hockey in Toronto to having a star in front of the International Love Boutique."

A crowd of around 350 screaming fans interrupted Myers' speech several times by yelling "Yeah, baby!"

Austin Powers In Goldmember, the third instalment of the spy spoof series, is gets its worldwide release tomorrow.
