Kosheen plan 'dark' new material

Kosheen are planning to release new material in the autumn.

The dance band are currently working on a new album, which they describe as a lot "darker" than their previous releases.

Lead singer Sian says a lot of the tracks have been written during the band's recent tour.

"I think we've developed a lot over the last year with all the gigging and living together, and the subject matter is slightly different," she told Radio 1.

"We don't get a lot of time to be in the studio because we're touring quite hard. We have been for the last 18 months. But even in the tour bus, the guitars come out, and we've already got probably the best part of three quarters of an album done.

"Hopefully by the end of the year we'll start bringing a bit out, but we're quite cagey about it at the moment as you can imagine."
