'Judge me by my singing voice' - Rik Waller

Rik Waller says he was stunned when Pop Idol judge Simon Cowell branded his first video a "horror movie."

Rik says he is happy to let record-buyers judge his talent.

Cowell says Rik would be "booted out" or "sent to the nearest doughnut store" if he tried to enter the US version of Pop Idol.

Rik refused to be drawn into a slanging match after Cowell's outburst.

"I am a bit stunned by Simon's comments. I have only ever asked audiences to judge me on my singing voice," he said.
