Beale wants to break Barlow's record

Ken Barlow may have had most wives and lovers among soap characters, but there's one man determined to beat his record.

Step forward our old friend Adam Woodyatt, who plays EastEnders answer to Ken, Ian Beale.

"Ken's only had so many relationships because he's been around for 40 years," says Adam. "Give me another 20 years, in EastEnders, and I'll definitely have more than he has."
