Dodd fan faces harassment charge

A Ken Dodd fan is in custody in the UK after she was accused of harassing the legendary comic's long-term partner.

Ruth Tagg, 34, is alleged to have sent a number of letters to Dodd's live-in lover Anne Jones.

Tagg, of St Johns Crescent, Bedminster, Bristol, was arrested in Merseyside on May 4.

She appeared before Wirral Magistrates Court on Monday accused of harassment and was remanded in custody to appear again on June 10.

Dodd and Ms Jones live in Dodd's native Merseyside.
