O'Hanlon finds it hard to act in ThermoMan suit
Ardal O'Hanlon admits he finds it difficult to act in the BBC comedy My Hero - because of the awkward lyrca suit.
The Irish actor says when he finally gets into the superhero garb, the visor means he can barely see his fellow actors.
But he says he doesn't feel too ridiculous in the ThermoMan suit, because he's used to looking like an idiot.
Speaking to promote the return of the show on May 31, O'Hanlon said: "The suit is a bugger to get on and off.
"You'd think I'd be used to it after all this time but it still takes me 10 minutes just to get my arms in.
It's also difficult when I'm wearing the visor because I can't see anything except a few dark shapes. Trying to play off other actors becomes impossible I bet Sir Larry never had these kind of problems!"
The new series features a new character, baby Ollie, who has inherited ThermoMan's superpowers.
"The introduction of the baby adds a whole new dimension to the series because not only do you have the tensions of keeping George's alter-ego secret, but you also have the additional issue of a baby and an out-of-control one at that.
"There are some great comedy moments which focus on the strain of keeping a secret and trying to behave normally in front of other people when, in reality, the situation is anything but."
