Xena star gives birth

Xena star Lucy Lawless has given birth to a baby boy in Auckland.

The former star of Xena: Warrior Princess gave birth to Judah Miro Tapert on Tuesday.

She gave birth at her Auckland home and the baby weighed in at a healthy 8.5lbs.

Lawless and husband Rob Tapert have been married since 1998 and have another son called Julius Robert, aged two.

Lawless also has a 13-year-old daughter, Daisy Lawless, from a previous marriage.

Lawless recently appeared in the new season premiere of The X-Files, the comedy Just Shoot Me and she makes a cameo appearance in the new Spider-Man movie.
