Chicken Run wins top animation award

Chicken Run has won a top prize at the 2002 British Animation Awards.

But the award for Best European Animated Feature Film was shared with African folk tale Kirikou et la Sorcière.

Gorillaz won Best Music Video for their song Clint Eastwood, and the Public Choice for Favourite Music Video went to Coldplay for Don't Panic.

Director Michael Dudok De Wit scooped three awards including Best Short Film for his film Father and Daughter.

Chicken Run was made by Nick Park's production team Aardman, and raked in £187million worldwide.
