Will Young says singing at the Queen's Golden Jubilee concert will be an "unbelievable experience."

He will line up alongside Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Tom Jones, Aretha Franklin and S Club 7.

The Party At The Palace takes place on June 3.

Will is thrilled to be taking part as he still harbours an ambition to have tea with the Queen, reports Gay.com UK.

"It is a huge honour and I'm sure it will be an unbelievable experience," he said.

"I said during Pop Idol that I had always wanted tea with the Queen - it may not have happened yet but maybe it's getting closer."

Will's debut single Evergreen/Anything Is Possible is on course to become the fastest selling UK debut single of all time.

There will also be a Prom At The Palace in the grounds of Buckingham Palace on June 1.
