Politicians are a bore: Rory Bremner

Rory Bremner says his job is getting harder because British politicians are so boring.

The impressionist is famous for mimicking MPs.

But he says there are not enough personalities around in politics these days.

"The characters are very thin in the ground. And bits of the Labour Party are clearly falling apart," he said.

"Stephen Byers, Geoff Hoon, Alan Milburn - if I took tapes home of them and was an insomniac, that would just do it!

"These days, five minutes of newsnight sends me to sleep."
