Amanda Holden says her marriage is back on track

Amanda Holden says she has got her relationship with Les Dennis back on track.

She says she had a fling with Neil Morrissey during an early kind of 'mid-life crisis'.

She joined Les Dennis to talk frankly about their lives on the first edition of Richard and Judy's new Channel 4 afternoon show.

Holden said she made a mistake in the wake of her flourishing TV career.

She said: " I think I just made a mistake. I was just thrown out there and things were thrown my way.

"I was asking life questions like whether I was with the right person for the rest of my life."

Dennis was adamant that there was no reason other than love for her to be with him.

"I knew the love we had for each other was real but it was just difficult to get it back on track with the press on our doorstep.

"We haven't got any children so there's no reason for her to stay with me if she doesn't want to."

The pair also think the press are unable to accept they are happy together.

"I think a happy ending is confusing for them. It's not what they want."
