Trio bailed in TV's Millionaire fraud investigation
An Army major and his wife have been bailed after being arrested over allegations of deception on ITV's Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
Major Charles Ingram and his wife Diana were arrested at their Wiltshire home following allegations about the officer's £1m jackpot win.
A 51-year-old man from Cardiff arrested at the same time has also been bailed.
All three were questioned over allegations of deception.
Major Charles Ingram and his wife have been released on police bail to return to a central London police station in December. The 51-year-old man is to return to a central London police station in February next year.
Major Ingram, who serves with the Royal Engineers, took part in the show in September but the edition was never broadcast after programme makers Celador became suspicious about his jackpot win.
The Metropolitan Police Special Inquiry Team was called in to investigate the complaint.
Mrs Ingram and her brother Adrian Pollock had both previously won £32,000 on the game show hosted by Chris Tarrant.
She later wrote a book called Win A Million, based on a theory both she and her brother had used to succeed.
Celador withheld Major Ingram's £1m cheque when the investigation was launched. He has denied any wrongdoing.
