That was the verdict of Hazel Forde Buttimer, a relation of Henry Ford’s Irish ancestors, after the Ford 100 Fest was held on her homestead in Crohane, near Ballinascarthy, at the end of August.

The event, which boasted a large display of Ford tractors and cars, was organised by the West Cork Vintage Ploughing & Threshing Association. Hazel said the attendance of 6,000 was “well beyond our expectations”, with 27 acres of car parking filled on the day.
