Call of Duty: WWII's zombie mode to be revealed on July 20th
Zombies have been a staple of the Call of Duty franchise since 2008’s “World at War” but CoD: WWII’s developer, Sledgehammer, promises a “twisted new vision” of the survival mode will be revealed before the month is out.
Fans have already been told to expect something more historically grounded and grotesque than previous offerings with developers promising "a pretty horrifying experience," that tells "the story of the Third Reich's desperate attempt to create an army in the final stages of the war."
Sledgehammer was a co-developer for the acclaimed Dead Space series of sci-fi survival horror games, so they are certainly up to the task.
Given the date, the announcement will likely occur at San Diego Comic Con; the massive conference in California has been the site of other CoD Zombies announcements.
